Flameless Candles!

For some, the rules that come with burning candles can be tiring and a nuisance, and as a result, the person just quits burning candles all together.  But Gold Canyon had a solution to that, which are our wickless candles!

If you have never tried one of our pod warmers, you are missing out!  These are great because they plug in and have a timer on them, so you do not have to remember to turn it off.  Simply take your favourite scent pod, take off the lid, and set it on the warmer and you are done.  The wax will slowly melt and release the scent for you to enjoy. 

The scent will last a minimum of 20 hours.

Why buy a Pod Warmer?

Have you tried a Gold Canyon pod warmer or heard about one?  If not, you are missing out!  This is what makes them so great!

Plug in – There is no bulb in these warmers.  You plug it in and there is an element that warms up and melts the wax pod

Pods – You do not put the wax directly in the warmer, you put the plastic pod into the well and the element melts the wax which releases the scent.  The plastic on the pod is designed not to melt.  Pods release scent for at least 20 hours.

Timer – There is a timer on these warmers, so it will run 4, 8 or 12 hours and you do nto have to turn it off.  This is a great option!

Oil Adapter – You can now get an oil adapter for your warmer so that you can use your favourite essential oils with it.

Did you know….. Candles on Warmers

Many people like to use their jar candles on those warmers that you are able to buy.  While it seems like a great idea as you do not have the flame, it really is not beneficial for the candle, and you will find when you decide to burn the candle that the scent is not as strong as it should be.

This is due to the way that a candle is made and is designed to be used.  When making a candle, the fragrance oil bonds to the wax particles during creation.  This is done in a liquid state, where the oil is mixed very well but at a low temperature to not burn the oil off.  Just before it gets to the cooling temperature, the wax is poured into its container where it solidifies quickly.

When you put your candle onto a warmer, the warmer melts the wax from the bottom to top, which causes the fragrance to evaporate into the air from the entire candle.  When you burn a candle, the fragrance is only evaporated from the 1/4“to ½ “of melted wax. 

Due to this, you can understand how the candle will be fragrant much longer when you light the wick versus putting it on a warming plate.

Can I put Candles on my Pod Warmer?

Dear Maven,

Is it safe to put the Heritage^®, Bella^®, Inspirations or any other Gold Canyon glass candle on the Pod Warmers to use up any last remnants of the candle wax or will the temperature of the Warmer be too hot for the glass? I have several customers who tell me they do this and I want to be able to warn them if there could be any hazards.

To make a long story short and answer your question, no, the heat is not too much, but, and this is a big BUT, the quality of the fragrance won't be what your customers are expecting and definitely not what they deserve from Gold Canyon.

Gold Canyon has a patent on the Scent Pods^® and Warmers, a product for which we painstakingly ensured that the Pod Warmer, Scent Pod container and fragrance all play nice to create a quality experience for you. Any time a different type of product is used, it has the potential of resulting in a flawed experience.

I know, I know—everyone is trying to be super thrifty nowadays, but this isn’t one of those times to reuse. Just not worth it.

Keep the following info in your back pocket for next time your customers ask you about that remaining wax they are trying to use: The last remains will contain the wick adhesive (not designed to smell good, by the way) and will have wick and other debris which will impart a smoky smell and not look very pretty either. This certainly doesn't showcase the excellent fragrance quality for which Gold Canyon is known.

 

After interviewing the experts in Research and Development, the best advice I have is to tell your customers to just throw away the last bit of wax and be happy knowing this is a safe and very reasonably priced candle. That last bit of wax is your safety insurance policy and it has done its job, holding all wick debris and keeping the bottom of your candle from getting too hot and bursting.

If you must, you can suggest to these customers that they use the warmers to melt out the last bit of wax in their jars, BUT (notice that’s another big BUT) they must realize this is a cleaning process and not a fragrance experience.

Pod Warmers

Pod Warmers seem to be becoming all the rage right now.  You pick out the one that goes with your decor, put a pod on it, plug it in and turn it on, and voila.. your house has a lovely scent without a flame.  We have quite a few different styles of warmers, you should be able to find one that fits your decor.  There are over 70 scents that you can use in your warmer, so you should never be without a wonderful scent.  One of the greatest features is that if you want to change scents, you just take the pod off and put a new one on, no cleaning, no mess.
