Product Review - Homeology

Homeology:
Chemical free cleaners - I have the all purpose at home, and I really like it.  I don’t need to turn a fan on while cleaning to get the smell out of the air.  These leave a nice scent behind.  One of my co-workers got the floor cleaner for herself, as she wanted something without chemicals due to having dogs, and she said it works really well and smells nice.

Do you have a review you would like to see me post?  Email it to me and I will make sure to include it!

Review of Homeology

My favorite thing about the Homeology line is that they are not full of chemicals. With two cats around the house, they get into everything and lick the strangest things, so I like the fact that there are no poisons on the floors or counters that they lick. I love the fact that these cleaners smell great, due to the aromatherapy scents in them, so I do not have to open the windows and air my place out after cleaning.

Many demonstrators have posted a variety of ways to use these products beyond their original use, but because that is not their design, I will not advocate these, use at your own risk. I know for myself, when my cats are sick and leave presents on the carpet, I clean it up and then spray the All Purpose cleaner on it. I let it set for a few minutes and then wipe it up, and I don’t end up with a stain.

Oil Warmer Review

This season Gold Canyon has come out with an oil burner.
In the past, when I used an oil burner, I could put in a bowlful (probably 2 tablespoons?) and it would be gone within a few hours.  As a result, I wanted to know how Gold Canyon’s burners would do using the Gold Canyon oils.
I set up the Traditional Trivet Burner with 50 drops of Sweet Pea oil.  The instructions mentioned 100 drops, but for my test, I decided 50 would be plenty.  It turned out it was, as the 50 drops (maybe about a tablespoon?) lasted until my tealight (generic one) died.  In fact, I still had some oil left in the bowl of the burner, maybe about 10 drops worth.
Overall, I was impressed with the length of the oil lasting in this burner and would recommend it to others.   You do need to be careful where you put it as the oil bowl does get hot while it is burning, but the arms do not, which is nice.

Review: Wick Dipper

Wick Dipper

This is the best way to extinguish your candles. You want to dip your wicks into the melted wax and then lift them back out to extinguish them. This helps to retain the lovely scent of the candle in your house. Blowing out the wick only causes your house to smell of burnt out candle.

For the price of this item, it is well worth it. It is only $4.50 CDN and when you only smell the candle instead of the smell of burnt wick later on you will be glad for it.

Product Review - Scentmate

I just received my Scentmate the other day so decided that I should try it out and post a review. I have a few events coming up and I wanted to be able to talk about this new product.
The Scentmate uses Essential Oils to scent your home.  I tried mine out with Pomegranate.  You take one of the pads, and your pour the oil onto it, about 100 drops.  There is a line on the bottle so you know where 100 drops is.  Re-assemble the Scentmate, and then put batteries into the top section.  Then hit the button and it turns on.  The Scentmate has a fan in it, so it runs the fan and puts out scent continually.  I found the Scent the same as my candles, you get whiffs of it once in a while.  Overall, I like the idea of this product and it is a great option for someone who wants scent in their home but does not want flame and is scared of the scent pods spilling everywhere.

If this product is as popular as it is expected to be, there will be more scents coming out in the next catalogue.
